Abstract: This paper introduced Virtual instrument technology used in research and development of recorder. A new recorder was developed, which based on industry personal computer platform using MySQL database to store datum. It can implements many measurement and test functions via multithreading, such as data acquisition, data stortge, dynamic display, real-time monitoring, data review configuration and report forms printing. Its chacracteristic includes low cost, high precision, high stability and friendly interface. It is widely suitable for matitoring and recording such parameter as vibration, temperature and pressure. Its hardware configuration and software design were discussed in detail.
